Stories offer a glimpse into my personal experiences, memories and discoveries, and the journey that shaped hælu… a return to wholeness.
We all have a story to tell.
Mine has taken me through many different versions of myself. Through things that changed me, things that challenged me, times when I lost sight of who I was, and the long process of finding my way back.
Along the way, I became fascinated by what shapes us. The relationship between our experiences and our bodies, the places we live, the things we create, the ways we connect, and all the small things that can bring us closer to ourselves again.
I chose to learn from my own experiences. To study, explore, create, and eventually share some of what I discovered in the hope that it might mean something to someone else too.
hælu grew from all of those threads.
Its name comes from an Old English word for wholeness, and that idea sits at the heart of hælu: creating ways for people to return to themselves, and to the remembering of what already lives within.
Much of what I create comes from what I have learned along the way, but the stories behind it usually remain unseen.
These are little glimpses of mine.
