These Terms and Conditions govern your use of hælu, including our website, app, audio, music, videos, writing, stories, courses, memberships and other digital content.

By accessing or using hælu, you agree to these terms.

About hælu

hælu brings together words, music, stories, creativity, courses, places, ideas and discoveries exploring the relationship between how we live and how we feel.

Content is provided for personal exploration, enjoyment, education and general wellbeing.

Wellbeing Content

Some hælu content explores the body, emotions, rest, awareness, relationships and wellbeing.

This content is for general informational, educational and wellbeing purposes only. It is not medical, psychological, psychiatric or other professional healthcare advice, diagnosis or treatment.

Please decide whether a practice or piece of content is appropriate for you. You are always free to stop, pause or adapt a practice.

Do not use meditation, relaxation or other content requiring focused attention while driving, operating machinery or where reduced attention could create a risk.

Accounts

Some parts of hælu may require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure.

Your account and access to paid content are for your personal use and should not be shared with others.

Memberships and Paid Content

Some hælu content is available freely, while other content may require a purchase or paid membership.

Where a recurring membership or subscription is offered, the price and billing frequency will be shown before purchase. Subscriptions may renew automatically until cancelled, as explained at the time of purchase.

The content available through a membership may develop over time. New material may be added and existing material may occasionally be updated, reorganised, replaced or removed.

A membership gives you access to the content and features included within that membership while your access remains active. It does not transfer ownership of that content to you.

Payments, Cancellations and Refunds

Payments and subscriptions may be processed through Stripe, Apple, Google or another payment provider, depending on how you purchase access to hælu.

Where you purchase a hælu membership through our website, your subscription will renew automatically at the billing frequency and price shown at checkout until cancelled.

Membership access may take up to 24 hours to be activated after joining. You may be asked to create a hælu account using the same email address used when purchasing your membership so that your access can be connected to your account.

You can cancel a recurring subscription at any time to prevent future renewals. Your access will continue until the end of the period you have already paid for, unless otherwise stated.

If you purchase through a third-party provider such as Apple or Google, your payment, renewal, cancellation and refund will also be subject to that provider's terms and procedures.

Your rights under applicable consumer law are not affected by these terms. Where you have a legal right to cancel a purchase, receive a refund or obtain another remedy, those rights will continue to apply.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, original material available through hælu, including audio recordings, music, spoken work, writing, stories, videos, imagery, course material, graphics, branding and other creative content, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.

Access to hælu does not transfer ownership of this material to you.

Content is provided for your own personal, non-commercial use. Without prior written permission, hælu content may not be copied, recorded, reproduced, republished, distributed, sold, uploaded elsewhere, publicly shared or commercially exploited.

hælu content may not be used to train artificial intelligence systems, create datasets or develop derivative commercial products or services without prior written permission.

Content From Others

Where work by another writer, artist, musician, photographer, maker or contributor appears within hælu, ownership remains with the relevant rights holder.

hælu may also link to or feature third-party places, products, services and organisations. We are not responsible for the content, availability, privacy practices or operation of third-party websites or services.

Places, Travel and Recommendations

hælu may share places, travel experiences, products, books, crafts, makers, food, accommodation and other things we believe may be interesting or worth discovering.

Unless clearly stated otherwise, these are editorial recommendations, personal experiences or observations.

Prices, opening times, availability, facilities and other details may change. Please check important information directly with the relevant provider before making a booking, purchase or journey.

Where content is sponsored, gifted, paid for or contains an affiliate relationship, this will be identified where required.

Acceptable Use

You must not misuse hælu, attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts or restricted content, interfere with the operation or security of the service, circumvent membership restrictions or use hælu in a way that infringes another person's rights.

Availability and Changes

hælu will continue to develop and may occasionally change, update, replace or discontinue content, sections or features.

We aim to keep the service available and functioning properly, but uninterrupted or error-free access cannot be guaranteed.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or affects your statutory consumer rights.

To the extent permitted by law, hælu is not responsible for losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control or by use of the service in a way that is inconsistent with these terms.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions as hælu develops or our services, offerings or legal requirements change.

The latest version will be available through hælu.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you may have under the laws that apply where you live.
